The Biriyani is textured as a very mild yet brilliantly flavored and the most easily digestible healthy biriyani, without any harsh additives which is predominantly used in the biriyani industry.
Anganan Biriyani House was started by the late Mr Anganan Pillai along his wife late Mrs Unnamalai Ammal in the early summer of 1926 in his house which catered to the residents of Covai town. He then would go on to set up the Biriyani House at Variety Hall Road, Covai.
Post their time the Anganan Biriyani House in Covai was successfully run by Mr. Anganan’s son in law Mr.Kadhirvadivel alongwith his wife Mrs. Mangaiyarkarasi and their son Mr. Muralidharan.
After a brief family partition the legacy of the most famous biriyani of Covai continues to be now successfully run by the great-granddaughter of Late Mr. Anganan – Mrs. Jaishree Anganan Sandeep along with her husband Mr. V. Sandeep at VCV Layout, RS Puram.
